We are a training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.
These placements are between 6 and 12 months in length. They are fully supervised by our lead trainers Dr Lockwood, Dr Park, Dr Rowell and Dr Kirkman.
As well as having registrars the practice also help train medical students. The medical students are beginning their journey to becoming a doctor and have a 7-week placement with the practice. The appointments with the medical students are longer than a regular GP appointment but include a consultation with the medical student and one of the GP partners.
This year we will also be welcoming student nurses to the practice who are just starting out on their journey to become fully qualified nurses.
