Meet Our Nursing Staff


Our Nurse team consists of four highly trained nurses with a wealth of expertise and experience, two GPN ready nurses and two health care assistants who support the GP's in the care of our patients.

 

We offer nurse led clinics for longterm health conditions including diabetes, CHD, heart failure , hypertension, COPD, asthma, CKD  and dementia care.

 

Our nurses also provide childhood immunisation and travel health consultations, vaccinations and advice.

 

We offer well persons checks and access to the cervical screening programme and contraceptive advice.

 

Our nurses also provide a wide range of general nursing care for example dressings and wound care, ear care, blood tests, ecgs and other investigations as requested by the GP's

 

Our nurse team is;

 

MANDI HARDY - Senior practice nurse , works at both sites and takes responsibility for management of the nurse team, diabetes care, CHD & cholesterol management.

 

JOANNE SMITH - works at both sites, speical interest in diabetes and CHD.

 

LIZ CURRY- works at both sites, special interest in respiratory, hypertension and wound care.

 

LYNN ARROWSMITH - works at Cantley, special interest in hypertension, wound care and learning disabilities.

 

ANDREA VIGGARS - GPN Ready Nurse - Fully qualified nurse undertaking 2 years training in general practice nursing. Works at both sites.

 

HANNAH GUEST - GPN Ready Nurse - Fully qualified nurse undertaking 2 years training in general practice nursing. Works at both sites.


DIANE O'DONOVAN & FLORA RILEY - our health care assistants, working at both sites providing a phlebotomy service and supports our nurse and GP team in the care of our patients.

 

Community Matron - Mags Dowie

Supports patients with long term conditions who are housebound and are more likely to have an A&E attendance or emergency admissions. Our Matron acts as a link between our practice and many other agencies including social services, hospital consultants and social prescribing. Matron also visits our care home patients on a fortnightly basis.
